I was born and raised on a family farm and have now moved back there. From Monday through Friday, I work in commercial construction. But once I walk out the door, I am a woodworker, golfer, hunter, farmer, archer, Freemason, and Living History Re-enactor. I have an incredible family and an amazing group of friends that I spend a lot of time with. or so weekends a year, you can find me at a living history event. And if there is good music being played, I am usually doing shanties and celtic music. I have been as far away as central Florida and Northern Wisconsin for events. I love music. Mostly, I listen to Celtic stuff right now, but the stack of cd's covers a very broad range from Celtic to Country, to Classical, and Classic Rock. In school I played the saxaphone. I have gotten back into playing the guitar after a long hiatus, and am slowly learning the bodhran as well. Someday, I want to learn to play bagpipes. I love to watch the CUBS and DA BEARS!!!
I believe in God and I have a personal relationship with Jesus. However, I am not an extremely consistent church-goer. Usually about once a month. Growing up, I was very active, and even into college. But also in college, I began to question organized religion and felt unfulfilled. Now, I worship in my own way. I still have all of my faith, maybe even stronger.
My political views are conservative. I am more of an old school conservative. Like so many other things in my life I am pretty traditional.
I really love to hunt, everything from squirrel, raccoon, coyote, and deer. But my real passion lies in birdhunting. I would rather pheasant, quail, duck or goose hunt than anything else. Every January I take a trip with some college friends to goose hunt in Southern Illinois for 3 days. In the spring, I will be getting my first hunting dog, a Spinoni Italiano, and am excited at the opportunity to train him.
I live at my parents, but it is temporary. I am designing my workshop which will also have an apartment in it, just need to find the building site. When I do get married, the plan would be to design and build our house. I have always wanted a log home, with a big great room and a fireplace. One end of it would be mostly windows to look out on the view, maybe a pond with the canoe floating on it.
I am very open and honest. I love good conversation, either just listening and learning, or adding my two cents. I tend to have an opinion on everything, but try to be diplomatic about it.
I have a good life, but really want to find the one that I am supposed to share it with. You would be amazing. The one who, just at the mention of your name, my face would light up. Our time together would never be long enough, and the time apart would be like an eternity. I need the forever kind of love. My parents have been married for almost years, my grandparents on both sides spent their whole lives married to just one person. That is what I need.
